Basingstoke and Hampshire need Reform

We will push for more local powers over policing, putting Officers back on the street tackling real crime, rather than social media posts. 

Basingstoke high street is dying. In less than 10 years, it has been hollowed out by low-value, cash-only businesses. The Council must take stronger control over planning and licensing to bring balance and growth to our high street.

We will revitalise our local town centre so everyone in the area can feel proud of our high street.

Hampshire County Council is drowning in debt and is potentially headed for bankruptcy. The Tories have left behind a financial time bomb. 

We will restore financial discipline and scrutiny, deliver value for money, clamp down on wasteful spending, and putHampshire's finances back on track.

Pot hole repairs are down 60% over the past year, with £500,000 paid out to motorists in compensation since 2022. Hampshire's roads are a mess and a threat to safety. 

We will work tirelessly to fix our roads to keep you safe.

British households and businesses are being crushed by among the highest energy costs in the world - driven by bad ideological policy. 

We will put taxpayer into front line services rather than local Net Zero agendas that are costing you millions.

Hampshire's farmers are the lifeblood of our country and local economy, but they have been pushed to breaking point by Whitehall diktats. 

We will rip up paperwork burdens locally, restore common sense, and protect our rural way of life.

SMEs generate over £2.8tn in turnover and employ 16.6m people. British businesses should not be disadvantaged in their own country.

We will cut red tape locally, prioritise British firms in procurement, remove unnecessary regulation, and create a level playing field.

Council tax increased by 5% this year, yet local service delivery is failing the people of Basingstoke.

We will protect our local healthcare services, community amenities, schools and much more so the community continues to benefit from them.
